ETS 2: Italia – Architecture
Our map design team always has one of the most exciting challenges to create and reflect the new content in the game. It can get tough because each place is so specific that we need to obtain a lot of information to be able to design anything at least similar to the real location. After finishing development of new region, we know every single detail of the place – even more than the locals!
There are few aspects which need to be taken into account when we design a new place in our game: it’s road connections, surrounding environment and typical buildings structure. This means that we need to implement many various objects, such as very specific roads routes, buildings and everything that shapes the landscape. That is why the big amount of our development time is dedicated for collecting data and figuring out how to adapt everything for our game.
